And I still am not ready.
I didn't get a haircut or buy new clothing.
I lost my makeup bag on the lake on the 4th.
The house is still a mess.
I need to go get some snicky snacks.
The car needs to be detailed.
The laundry isn't finished.
Ack! Ack! Ack!
Oh why didn't we just Rapture last week!?!
And yet, I am reminded of that Erma Bombeck essay -- life is never going to be perfect; enjoy your friends while you can, no matter that the carpet is stained and you are wearing mis-matched socks.
