I keep horrible notes. I remember reading a Catholic theologian not too long ago in which he makes a beautiful statement about creation and evolution. The gist of it runs something like this: Evolution is the method by which God allows the universe itself participate in the act of Creation.
There are so many things in this life that we see as mutually exclusive. I think the very mystery of God is partially this: God allows things that we think are mutually exclusive exist in harmony. The Lion and the Lamb. The Darkness and the Light. Mystery.
